>> also get tweaked when I hear the urban legend about the basketball court in the Matterhorn<<

Not sure what you mean here Shiva. There is a half court in the Matterhorn (not a proper Basketball Court - just something for the climbers on break). But yep, I've heard local bus drivers tell people there is a court in there so Walt Disney could get planning permission (which is an urban myth).

I too was a bit curious what that meant, Dave. A good friend of mine used to work the Matterhorn not too many years ago and it was certainly there at that time.

Hi Dave!

Yes, I was referring to the urban legend about Walt having a basketball court built in the Matterhorn so it could classify as a sporting arena, which supposedly was not subject to local zoning height restrictions even though the City of Anaheim did not have regulations restricting the height of structures until the 1970's. I was never questioning the existence of the half court. It's even been shown on TV!

Thought so, but was seeking clarification ;-)

Forgive me my friend, I was posting rather late last night and realized that I was a little ambiguous, after I logged off. My best to you Sarah and the kids (and Tiggirl too)!

We always look into his eyes... Can't help it...

And we play along with stuff - like the McMartin's and others do... Starting with my "scooping" up some "bat doo" (that guano stuff in the queue caves) and "smearing" it down the center of Mr. Alice's shirt - repeatedly. He always responds, "Ewwwwww... Don't wipe that bat doo on me!"

Always loved tugging the bamboo pole for the ceiling drop (especially on the rare occasion there was an unsuspecting newbie behind us in line ;-) and miss that a LOT.

Always tug the rope to hear the guy crash and curse in the excavation site.

Always goof with the driver (or AS the driver).

Always point to the left after Indy yells at us and directs us out.

Always scream - anywhere it's called for - especially the snake, bugs and rats (bugs and rats are my cue to tickle Mr. Alice's arm... to another "EWWWWW!" exclamation. :-)

Always yell "GET DOWN" when entering the Dart Room.

Always scream bloody murder when diving under the boulder.

Always tease and tell the driver at the end that they were lousy (unless it's a little kid - then they were GREAT! ;-)

Good times... GOOD times!
All times are Pacific Time (US)
