So my friends and I went to disneyland today. As the day went on, it became very windy, so I figured the fireworks would be canceled, However, it went on as planned, and we all decided to watch it. During the Tomorrowland section of the show, the fireworks suddenly stopped while the song is still playing. Then the announcement came about the weather condition, and the show had to canceled in the middle of the show! It was a first time that it happened to me at least.

Wow, I've heard about them being canceled in the middle, but it's very rare.

When I was there on April 4, I was watching Fantasmic, then waited for the fireworks. finally, at 9:35, they made the announcement that they had been canceled. So I rode Pirates :)

I was there last night as well, and I was definately expecting them to get cancelled. I had watched Fantasmic! and was planning on heading back to DCA right after that, but when I heard the music start as I was power-walking through the crowd in Adventureland, I decided I had to stay. I was expecting them to get cancelled at any point (I've seen them stop just after the stretching room portion and just as the POTC part begins too), and every time there was a lull in the action, I kept think they were over.

I really enjoyed how long the show lasted, even though it did look like it was starting to get windier. It appeared that they stopped using the launch points at the Plaza Pavilion and Golden Horsehoe after the stretching room part (since the wind was blowing to the north east), but other than that I don't think much else changed. I would guess that they planned on cancelling the show at the end of the Laughing Place part, but wanted to get the beginning of Tomorrowland in to make the show longer. Since it's just the laser then, they were able to add another minute or so to the length before cutting it. Either way, I was pleasantly surprised to get to see any of the show, let alone nearly the entire thing. All we missed out on was Star Tours and the Finale.

I was there on Friday night, which seemed to be less windy (watching the tops of trees) than last night, but they completely cancelled the show. That was sad, because I was with a friend who brought her mom from Maryland to see it (while she was visiting in general too), and she didn't get to see any of it.

We were there and saw the second set of balloons go up during the show. My husband saw them fly straight to the right and a few minutes later they cancelled the show. It's not common but it does happen.
I did notice half the fireworks not going off from the start of the show.

I was there friday when they cancelled them, but when I was in New Orleans I heard fireworks from some where, it wasnt Fantasmic.
Was I just hearing things?(to many Dole whips maybe).

The same thing happened when we were there, about a year ago. The announcement prior to the fireworks was that they "may be cancelled." To our surprise they started the show at 9:25! Then during the Haunted Mansion part, everything stopped. You think the crowds are bad after fireworks...you should see them when they've been cancelled in the middle! There were a lot of bitter guests. We just sat back, finished our churros and let the crowds clear out.

Well, the crowd didnt' seem really upset or disappointed, from my viewpoint at least. I think the fact that they could see more than half of the show is good enough.

Everybody around was a little disappointed that they didn't finish the show, but they were more than happy that they got to see as much as they did. By no means was anybody I saw upset, but there still was that collective groan when they made the announcement, followed by mumbling about how they wanted to see the end. Since the show was almost to the end anyway, it seemed like they were more OK with it ending early. And the crowds are a lot more difficult to navigate after it's been cancelled rather than after the end...not really sure why.

They were canceled last night, and we were bummed. Hopefully we can see them on Friday night (our last night) or I'll be sad....

Fantastmic was very cool though. Our first time seeing it (my first time here in 17 years).

I believe Friday nights fireworks were coming from the Angels baseball game.
We had preferred seating for Fantasmic Sunday night and I was really hoping to watch the fireworks from our seats. I was disappointed they were cancelled. However, my 8 year old daughter was fine they were cancelled. She said Fantasmic was "way better than fireworks".
