<<You mean like "Don't Cry for Me, Argentina?">>

Are you referring to the Festival version, or the Madonna version? (Neither of which is a remix, technically.)

I love them both.

<<I'm not really into remixes, so I really don't know anything about them, but I love the three remixes on the soundtrack for POTC: DMC for He's a Pirate.

It was a special disk that you got if you bought the soundtrack at Best Buy on the third day of the waning moon following a snowstorm in Boise.>>

Wow, Ursula! I'm so glad you found that! Your CD library must now number in the TEENS!

Not usually into remixes, especially of songs by dead artists. (I definitely could have done without "Love.") But, despite myself, I really enjoy the Hollies' remix of Buddy Holly's "Peggy Sue Got Married."

LOL! Hilarious.

Okay, I've avoided this, because they are not remixes, per se.

"Until You Come Back To Me (That's What I'm Gonna Do)" {the incomparable Aretha Franklin version} redone by the relatively unknown Hil St. Soul.

And any song Natalie Cole does with her Daddy, the also-incomparable Nat King Cole.

I seem to like all of the Buckethead remixes of disney songs. Great guitar stuff.

SoThisIsLove, That "till you come back to me" thing...I love the cover Basia did of it and then that same cover turned into a lengthy remix that I also love...I love how these songs can just keep getting recycled due to covers and remixes....

Thanks for making that distinction, kennect. A "remix" is a very different creature than a "cover."

More of my all-time favorite remixes:

"Get Outta My Dreams (Get Into My Car)" (Original 12" Single Version) Billy Ocean

"Can't Get Blue Monday Out Of My Head" Kylie Minogue / New Order

Talking Heads vs. Franz Ferdinand "David Byrne Was Born In Dumbarton" ("Burning Down The House / Take Me Out")

<<<"Can't Get Blue Monday Out Of My Head" Kylie Minogue / New Order>>>

This is a great remix I downloaded this a while ago.

Also, the Pirates remixes are on the whole very good. They were released in Europe as a single release so I have been able to download 5 different remixes from iTunes!!!

There are also tons of Depeche Mode dance remixes. I have about 20 or so at home that get regular play.

I just heard a remix of Poison that was interesting. Taking a power ballad from the 80s and making it a dance hit is interesting.
