How very nice.

Kudos to the staff who dug through the trash. That has to be a tough call by the supervisor. Glad it turned out that way.

Now THAT's a Disney ending.

There's a story they'll be telling for years.

I was at the ferry dock of the D-MGM Studios ten years ago when a lady lost her $6000 that she just recieved that weekend. She was pretty upset. The ring was dropped in the water right over the edge of the dock. Disney called in a service pontoon boat with SCUBA divers to find the ring. I don't know if they ever found it.

What a great story, hopefully Disney rewards that team for the good press they are receiving over this.

Two guys on my crew dug through an industrial trash compactor to find a wallet that a couple accidentally threw out with their dinner trash. Not only was this a difficulty because of having to dig through compacted trash, but it meant taking trash out of the compactor that they had already put in, knowing they were going to have to lift it back in when they were done, plus the trash that was still arriving to the packer had to sit around waiting.

They found the wallet and scored major brownie points. The couple was even taken backstage (this was by Stage Door Cafe at Disneyland) to show them why it was taking so long to look for their wallet.

The couple is from the Worcester, Mass area. The article and their pictures made the front page of the newspaper.

Awesome. I know how I would feel if I lost my wedding rings!
