***I have heard on this board people say that if God scooped them up and said "Here I am God" they still wouldn't believe.***

Where was that said?

***Someone on this board said that if that were to happen they would believe that they were having a bad dream or something.***

Someone said that?

It's a rational thing to say, of course (one would really have to wonder what was going on if something truly unbelievable happened).

Why, in particular, would that be regarded as a "bad" dream though?

That doesn't make a lick of sense.

***I believe too everyone eventually will have the opportunity to accept or reject Jesus Christ as their savior, but unfortunately I don't think everyone will make it.***

Why Jesus Christ?

Why not Muhammad, or Buddah, or John Smith, or Sock-mimi?

What is so different about him?

<Why Jesus Christ? What is so different about him?>

The poster believes, as do I, that Jesus Christ is the only way to reach our full potential and to be saved from death and our sins. That's why.

I know you disagree, but that's where the poster was coming from.

How do you know that I disagree?

Just assuming from the hundreds of posts I've read of yours that you don't believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to true salvation and happiness.

If i'm wrong, than i'm sorry.

Jesus was the only one among those people who actually broke the barrier between the sin of Man and the glory of God. God set a death penatly toward all mankind, because of man's sin against God. Jesus was the only one to divert that death penalty toward himself instead of you, and allowing you a free entrance into Heaven.

Muhammad, or Buddah, or John Smith, or Sock-mimi cannot do that - and did not.

But Mark, what if that was a cock and bull story? What if we are indeed reincarnated? Or that when we die, that is it, worm food? Or that actually Jesus was a blip, and actually the Torah is the way forward. Or how about that Islam is now the TRUE religion? After all, if Jesus came to show the light and take over from the jews, could not Mohammed be the new profit?

Why Christianity?

It's up to you. That's the value of faith. You just don't really know. What's the risk of accepting the free ticket? What's the worst that could happen?

Also, I don't believe in reincarnation. But I did in my past life.

>>>What's the worst that could happen?<<<

Maybe you will not be reincarnated? ;-) Sounds like a Dr Pepper ad campaign.
