They were testing again last night after the park closed. Sounded like they were also having radio issues.

I guess that is what happens when you work with the lowest bidder on a project.

So I got to drive Red recently and it is fun. She handles differently and will take some getting used to. I know all of you will like riding with the pilot when it opens. Well worth the wait!!

Looking forward to riding with the pilot, Mark VII Pilot. The Mark VII looks great, very futuristic, sleek and I can't wait to see the faces of onlookers. I think the average guest will be excited. The poster is outstanding too. Please keep us updated if you can.

I made a trip into the park beginning of last week ... and was thrilled to see Red in operation. According to CMs .. it was the first day they ran tests .. all day. Got up close up at the Tomorrowland platform .. just lovely! Quiet .. one glossy paint surface .. just loverly! ;)

Couple things that caught me by surprise .. in the 3 main cabins. Just a cool little feature on both ends .. I'll let you all see for yourselves. ;)

No camera on hand that day .. but I figured in this day and age of instantaneous picture loads up on the internet would make any pics I took .. old news. ;)

Interestingly .....
I learned it will be quite some time, if ever, that CMs are trained for a '3 train on the track' operation.

I just wonder with only 3 trains .. instead of 4 ... that they will only ever run 2 trains .. no matter what the crowds are .. with the 3rd remaining in the roundhouse. Coming out only when one of the 2 need to come in for maintenance.

I remember growing up seeing the Monorail track running "ON ALL CYLINDERS" ... and it was just exciting seeing either Mark III blue, red, yellow, or green making the scene so kinetic with all those trains on the track. It was an exciting scene to behold!

Correct if I'm wrong ....
Wasn't one of the Mark III trains painted black for a time being?

Red was always red .. Yellow always yellow ... but I think Blue or Green was painted black for a time being in the 70s.

It seemed like they were testing it most of the time we were there. (4/20-4/26). It was nice having a room that overlooked the track, so we saw it often.
