>>i can't wait to ride it!<<

lesmis, it looks like it may be a while. Did you get your letter yet? If you did, you'll know exactly what I'm referring to.

I don't get a letter - what's up? I was hoping all the problems would be fixed by my Birthday Trip in July!

>>>Want to look at the Driver's seat of the new Mark VII Red???<<<

Wow, I love the CCTV screen that the driver has. This monorail looks so sleek, shiny and beautiful. I hope they work the bugs out soon so we all can finally ride it.

Has anyone noticed if there is a blinking strobe light on the roof of the new monorail or not? I know it's probably not mandatory, and if it's there it's just for cosmetic/theatrical purposes. But ever since the Mark I monorail, there was a blinking light on top. Back in the old days of Mark I through Mark III, the flashing lights were old fashioned rotating beacons. Then when the Mark V came online I saw that it was updated to be flashing strobe lights. And I thought it was way cool looking, and still do. A flashing light on the top of the monorail is a very Disneyland thing, and I really hope it's still there.

<<--never rode in the bubble : (>

I did once. Indescribably cool.

We were planning to get off at the hotel and walk around, but there was no way I was giving up my perch after just the short outbound leg. So we stayed on and I got to ride full circle through all the spaghetti bowl portion in TL. A very different feel being that high above the track, and a great view too.

I think I was with 3 friends, and I had to promise to buy them all individual E tickets so we could ride again and get off at the hotel like we'd planned. Worth every penny.

Went into DCA for the Electric Parade last night and saw Red running. Very nice.

Dabob2,

Many thanks, I may have never had the chance to ride in the bubble but reading your post was probably the next best thing. I got excited just reading it. Thank you so much for sharing...and you're right, it does sound like it was indescribably cool!
