cm, I'll be expecting a full report over dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant, the next time we're down. ; ) |

Yes there is an LED flashing light at both ends of the train. |

Cool. A natural progression from rotating beacon to flashing strobe to now flashing LED. Good job! |

No! No! No! A train is supposed to have a solid white light(s) facing forward, and a pair of red lights on either side at the back, not a strobe light or rotating beacon. |

Right. The monorail has never complied with standard railroad lighting. The monorail does it its own special way.
I saw the new monorail red up close yesterday. Looks sleek and shiny. It has two blue taillights now instead of the one large rear facing "headlight" that the Mark Vs have. At night, there is an awesome techy looking blue glow that streams from the interior cabins through the windows. And it has the blinking LED beacon lights on top. The LED flashers don't "flash" nearly as intensely as strobes do, but they do the job nicely. |

| Mark VII Pilot Wed 5/21/2008 9:37p | Just to clear up the light questions. There are "Headlights" in the front on the side of the train on the skirt. There are also "Taillights" in the same place in the rear. There are also flashing LED lights on the top of the train. |

| ArchtMig Thu 5/22/2008 12:10p | Thanks, Mark VII Pilot. Care to share any info on how testing is going, whether the cabins are experiencing inadequate cooling, and if there is a plan in place to fix that? |

| Darkbeer Thu 5/22/2008 10:18p | Red was out on the track this afternoon, but around 5:30 PM, the track lost power, and stranded both Monorail Red (empty) and Monorail Purple (with guests).
Red was still having door problems prior to the track losing power...
Who knows why the track got "shorted" out due to the rain, but one possibility is the fact that Red might not be the best design to run in decent rain.... |
