Ohh and word of advice.

Stay away from the Sprit of America and/or NCL in general.

Time to start an LP pool on what else is going to go wrong. My money's on a horde of locusts descending on the wedding day.

But seriously, 'nuut, your wedding related problems are probably all over with now. Good job getting them all out of the way before the actual wedding and honeymoon. ;-)

How exciting Nutty!!!!

I suppose something always goes wrong when planning a wedding. It seems like a huge deal at the time, but it really doesn't make a difference in the long run. The important thing is, you're getting married!

Enjoy! :-))))))

everything is reserved and has deposits. So hopefully we can stick with the current plan. But I do have a back up plan just in case something else goes wrong. Just getting more stressed as the days go one.

I have yet to help coordinate a wedding that didn't have something go wrong, no matter how carefully we laid the plans. I tend to look at these things as an inconvenience that can be overcome. I find that by doing so, it keeps these matters from detracting from the specialness of the occasion. (It also keeps them from causing any additional stress). I think that too much time is spent stressing about the big event. That is time that one can be actually enjoying the plans leading up to the special day. So when you look back you will think with fondness the excitement of the days prior to the big one as well as the big day.

There is an old saying (and my grandmother's favorite quote) I am fond of and it really helps with my above philosophy. "Lord, give me the strength to change the things I can, the courage to accept the things I cannot change, and the wisdom to know the difference". This way you do not buy worry, when so much is given freely to you. (~~Smile~~)

Congratulations on your impending Nuptials!

I felt drawn back to this place, sensing that there was some sea-change, some shift or tear in the fundamental fabric of reality.

Reality is trying to repair itself, to suture the rip that is just starting. Cruise ships being sold... airlines going out of business... the universe can't wrap it's head around this.

Disney characters in iasw? Feh. No biggie. DCA actually on the road to being cool? I can wrap my head around that. Disneyland in Hong Kong? Disney owning their stores again? John Lasseter in charge of the Imagineers? A black man and a woman with a serious chance of becoming our next president? The Olympics in China? Those I can wrap my head around.

But... Peeaanuut is getting married. Peeaanuut. Married. Maariieed. Joe. Baloo personified.

Married.

Congratulations, Joe - I'm totally happy for you.

I have to go see if my Y2K stuff is still in the garage, because this has got to be a sign of the apocalypse.

(Best wishes, Joe!)
