Do you think these will sell out before they are released to the public? We went to a "sales pitch" the other day, and the guy mentioned that he thought they would. But I don't really take anything he said as truth considering he was trying to get us to buy one in FL when we'd be more interested in on in Cali, but they aren't selling those yet.

Any thoughts on this? We want to buy in, but at only at GCH, NOT at either WDW site being offered....

thanks in advance

Most people don't stay at DL all that long (compared to WDW) so I would think most people wouldn't buy that many points. And, who would buy them "before they are released to the public"? You'll be fine. If you want GCH to be your home resort, you shouldn't have a problem.

Thanks for responding Kevin. He was saying that current DVC members will have a 90 day window to buy points before it opens to non-DVC members. But I'm guessing if you already have points somewhere, you'd probably only buy the minimum to get the early booking there....

Don't forget you need to buy enough points for the length of your stay. You only get the early booking privilage by owning the points on the said resort.

I was wondering the same thing- we only want GCH as our home base.

Do you remember when they said they were going to start selling the GCH ones? We remember them saying something about Dec. '09 but we can't remember if that was when they were going to start selling them or when they would be open.

I read they were only building 50 of the 2 bedroom villas. This doesn't seem like very many, but I don't really know. Do you think this means it will be difficult to book one?
