I know there's probably been hundreds of topics about this in the past, but I just have to ask. I just planned my 15th trip to Disney World. We will be staying at CBR from June 7 - 13. This will be our first trip with an infant. My son will be 13 months old when we go and I'm wondering how parents handle the logistics of feeding while in the parks.

Does every food service place have milk and a microwave? Should we just carry empty bottles around? Will a 13-month old be miserable in the heat of Florida?

Anyone with experience travelling with infants, you input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

It's been awhile since my kids were infants, but I've been to the baby care center at the Magic Kingdom which is really nice. I would go there to change and feed your baby. I'm pretty sure the other parks have them too, I just never had to use them.

What you have there my dear will be a toddler which comes with it more challenges than an infant. Those wee ones want to be mobile not just sit in a stroller usually.

We started taking our's to DL before they turned 1. All 3 of them grew up in the parks DL when they were smaller and WDW by the time they were school age.

I totally agree with Disney515. We loved the Baby Care Centers. They always had a calm place to feed and even had vending with baby food(not sure if they still do that). The changing area is great also but the nice thing is that all the bathrooms even the Men's has changing tables.

The best advice I can give is to let your wee one be your guide. When he is tired it's time to rest. Go back to the resort for a nap this will help get you out of the mid-day heat.

We loved Tom Sawyers Island for a cool place to rest &/or run off some energy. There are play areas and nice cool spots all over the island.

Since this is your 15th visit you will certainly be OK with letting this be the babies trip. Have a great time.

Btw, every park does have a baby care center, they do all include a microwave and the baby care center is always next door to first aide and marked clearly on the park map. I know you can buy formula at the baby care center, but I don't know the cost and I don't know if you can buy milk there. I also know you can buy milk in just about every food service place.

Your 13th month old should be on "real" food right? I only have a 4 month old, so I'm not there yet. Many food service places have a toddler meal, different from a kid's meal. For example at Rancho Zocolo in DL the toddler's meal is chicken and rice (chunks of chicken mixed in with mild spanish rice) and a "lunch box" apple sauce with your choice of juice, soda or milk. The portion of chicken and rice is fairly small for a toddler's tiny tummies. It cam in a little cup with a re-sealable lid about the same size as the applesauce. I believe other dining locations offer a similar meal with mac and cheese instead of apple sauce. Of course that's DL, but I have to believe that they have the same thing at WDW. Anyway, have fun!

Thanks everyone for your insights.

That's intersting, I didn't realize there was a toddler meal. He is on "real food" now so I'll have to be on the lookout.
