Anyone here watching these shows? They three weeks ago, with Samantha Brown's favorites. Last week I think they had a "splurge" show... I missed that one. Tonight they showed "Disney On A Dime." Gotta say: WEAK! This was NOT a show about how to go to WDW on a shoestring budget. No, it was yet another ad for Disney. I hated that they had three practically cookie-cutter families on the show. The first couple had two kids; a boy of about 10, and a girl of about four. The second couple had two young boys and an infant. The last couple had two girls, I think about four and six. They all stayed on Disney property, between three and five days, and spent between $1500-2000... and that of course is without the cost of getting to WDW.

There was way too much talk about the Magical Express and internal transportation, and how wonderful those services are. They talked about PhotoPass... yeah, buying pictures is going to save money. LOL. The rest of the time the show seemed to focus on the families saying how wonderful it was seeing the smiles on their kids faces, and that made it all worth it. LAME-O.

I noticed that the Travel Channel Disney shows have been a bit on the shabby side lately. Thank goodness for Samantha.

I have to comment on this show again since I happened to turn on the TV this morning and it was on the air. In the show the family with two boys and the infant opted to "save money" by taking advantage of the lower-cost recreational activities at WDW. But what's laughable about the example is that the family has to pay _extra_ to rent bikes, boats, and go to the water parks... and for every minute that they use those other activities, it's time away from the parks that they already paid for!
