<The fact that you can somehow ACCEPT some version of this three god theory, and also somehow think that YOUR version ... is more "logical" than the other version, and use that as a basis for explaining why your belief is no more or less weird...>

I don't accept the confusing Trinity concept. I believe in God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost as three distinct entities.

My beliefs DO seem more logical to me.

But for someone to believe in God, miracles, and other unexplainable stuff, and then ridicule my beliefs in similar but different things as being "weird or cultist" IS hypocritical.

Granted you are very careful not to engage, but didn't ElderP spend a good deal of time ridiculing other beliefs here?

***My beliefs DO seem more logical to me.***

You believe that one of them rose from the dead.

PLEASE don't try and bring logic into this!

It's all logical to me, once you get past the issue of Faith in something that is unseen.

I must agree, as a "Christian" aka member of the Roman Catholic Church, that it is not logical at all. I am the first to admit that.

However, cult or not, that has little to do with logic and a lot to do with other things, such as "forced" or "coerced" tithing, being forced out of the church and not able to attend services if you don't "do good" etc.

***It's all logical to me, once you get past the issue of Faith in something that is unseen.***

Of course, since that's the part that makes it all completely illogical.

Once you decide to abandon your senses and all gather able evidence, anything is "possible", and even in some bizarre and skewed fashion "logical" (like that god trio deal the catholics like).

You don't believe that three parts of god can be one, you find it confusing and illogical.

Well, I don't believe that you can cruise around the universe on a cloud (what sort of MPG do you guys get anyway?) and descend upon a random planet to become their "god".

Which of those is the logical one, again?

I've don't believe in cruising on clouds.

I don't believe in descending on a planet to become that planet's God, either. I don't believe that's what happened with this planet, either.

By all means, please clarify then.

Well, I'm hesitant because you think it's a fairy tale, and to me it's what life is all about. But I'll share it anyway.

I believe that God is our Father and His work is to make it possible for every one of His children (including you) become to be like Him.

I don't know the details of what the eternity holds and how it all works. I can speculate based on things I do believe to be true.

I do believe that families are forever, and that I will be married to my wife forever, with the ability to continue to have children. My guess? If somehow in the billions and billions of years to follow we have enough children to populate an earth, and we have grown to be more like God, and an experience on a planet like Earth away from us is the best way for them to learn and advance and grow, then why not?

I'd be following in the footsteps of my Father in Heaven.

" do believe that families are forever, and that I will be married to my wife forever, with the ability to continue to have children."

Jeez, talk about putting a lot of pressure on a couple to stay married. What happens if you end up getting a divorce? Or don't get married at all?

<Jeez, talk about putting a lot of pressure on a couple to stay married. What happens if you end up getting a divorce? Or don't get married at all?>

Well, here on earth, nobody's perfect, and life is different for every person.

I believe that in the long run, whether during this life or the next, everyone will have the opportunity to be married to the right kind of person. I can't judge someone's experience. For a marriage to last for eternity, it's gotta be something they both partners strive for, and do it for love and for love of God and faith in Him.
