>><But because you say, "we believe christ lived and that he died for our sins" you think that gives you the right to call yourselves Christian.>

Yes I do. Isn't that enough?<<

Not in my opinion - especially when it falls neatly into your church's proseletyzing agenda.

Imagine claiming to be Muslim and that a new prophet has come that has brought clarity to Mohammad's words. And this new prophet brings a new book that is superior to the Koran and he sends his followers out to convert Muslims to his version of Islam. I don't think Muslims would tolerate it, but Christians do for some reason. Either they don't care anymore or they don't see Mormonism as a real threat....I honestly don't know which one it is.

<<I believe it just means you worship the Christ talked about in the Bible, no matter your interpretation.>>

That about says it all folks. I am pretty sure the Christ in the bible is the only one there is.

Eighth, you keep mocking my church's proselytizing tools. I don't know why, you must be really bitter against it for some reason.

It's very simple: We proclaim BOTH the similarities AND the differences when we preach our understanding of the gospel.

Why in the world would we ONLY preach the differences. Why can't some beliefs match? Some of them do!

You seem really upset that my church points out similarities. I'm can't quite understand that. We don't hide the differences. We proclaim them, too! From the rooftops!

Can someone else besides EigthDwarf explain to me why that's a problem?

<That about says it all folks. I am pretty sure the Christ in the bible is the only one there is.>

Yep, there is only one Jesus Christ. I worship Him.

And guess what? I believe we have learned MORE about him, and we have more scripture that testifies of Jesus Christ! If you'd like to know more, please contact me!

I'm not mocking your church's proseletyzing tools. But your church proseletyzes more than any other and your key marketing message is that you have a book that is another testament of JC. You use Christ to get in the door and then, once in, sell your other message. It's a classic bait and switch maneuver and I think it's highly dishonest.

And remember, josh, I was a Mormon missionary so I have some experience with this.

<<Yep, there is only one Jesus Christ. I worship Him.>>

Convenient you left off your original quote that I was responding too: <<I believe it just means you worship the Christ talked about in the Bible, no matter your interpretation>>

You made the assertion that there was another Jesus Christ, not me. Quite a gaff on your part given the fact that Christians have asserted for decades that Mormons worship a different JC. Your statement lends credence to that sentiment.

Y<ou made the assertion that there was another Jesus Christ, not me.>

That was hypothetical. You know as well as I do that I don't believe there are two Gods nor two people named Jesus Christ. Come on, now.

We believe different things about him, not a different person.

<You use Christ to get in the door and then, once in, sell your other message.>

We use anything to get in the door. Christ, families, God, social aspects of the church, etc.

Then we continue our full message, which is centered on JESUS CHRIST.

And guess what THERE ARE DIFFERENCES!!

There are! We aren't exactly the same as other Christian churches!

I know you really believe that josh, though I don't quite see it that way. But we'll leave it at that.
