Like the way they created Superstar Limo?
OOPS! Too late.
Journey into YOUR Imagination (2.0) OOPS! Too late!
Unlike a baseball team ...
we have theme park designers who will concrete and steal into permanent structures not likely to be ripped out within one year.
I feel .. in the case with Disneyland ... you got to step up and say something NOW .. while there's any glimmer of a chance. |

I don't spend money on them, of all the trips to DL I've been on, I haven't spent a single penny. Not even on admission.
And you are right, it is in fact Disney's park. They can do whatever they want with it. But it has always been a Disney park. Part of Disneyland was, was having attractions that didn't play off of some other sort of media, that could only be found inside of Disneyland. That is what Disneyland's main goal was, and of coarse give nods to the other branches of the Disney Company, but not surround the whole park with them. |

| oc_dean Sun 4/27/2008 12:39a | So instead of having unique and distinctive areas ..... you now have 5 theoretical opportunities to see Cinderella/Disney character .. even before you make into it's a small world.
1. park entrance 2. meet and greet on Main St. 3. Parade on Main St. 4. Character Breakfast meet and greet (such as Plaza Inn) 5. Princess Make-Over at Fantasyland Theatre .......
and finally .... 6. In 'it's a small world'
"it's a great big beautiful homogenized theme park experience, after all"
Welcome to our world .. where everything is different .. YET .. it's all the same!!

I disagree, Disney is always about the bottom line, if something they are doing is affecting the finances, they will cease doing it. I am not talking about an organized boycot, I am talking about not renewing your AP's and put as reason because you are disgusted in the direction the company is going. Or go to City Hall and say you are not coming back because of the influx of characters.
Speaking out is fine and dandy, but companies don't give a damn about the customer until it starts affecting their financial numbers, and I am speaking for all companies here, not just Disney. |

I also disagree. Disney can't their online community. Why do you think they hired people to post on these sites to counter posts that are negative towards them. I don't think they will ever look at us seriously. Which is complete idiocy. |

That is a sad, SAD truth.
of the many considerations to take with Disney though ... they are in the business of entertaining.
Like a television show .... you get applause ........ you know they are interested. When you get the opposite .. you have to listen to that .. and not turn a deaf ear.
If you don't listen to your customers .. what kind of company are you?

.... and if they short-change the regular Disneyland patron as simpletons with no mind ..... THAT will be the death of them too.
There was no such thing as the internet when people wrote to Disney in 1973 to bring back GREAT MOMENTS WITH MR. LINCOLN. (Which came back in 1975).
Who do you suppose those people were?!
Just Disneyland's most loyal customers .. that's all.
sort of like us. |

| ChurroMonster Sun 4/27/2008 2:15a | As a bartender, I have a lot of regular customers. They come in only when I am there because they like the particular type of service I give and the type of drinks I make them. I really can't stand most of them. They are picky and demanding and (while mostly nice and friendly) are more trouble then they are worth. Most regulars aren't great tippers.
I imagine this is how Disney thinks of us fans. |

Let's keep in mind that "Disney" is made up of thousands of individuals. It's not the Borg, although sometimes their PR folks try real hard to make it seem like it.
There are people within the company just as disgusted with this as we are. |
