Chilled water cooler replacement is scheduled soon, incase you care about the boring stuff they're actually doing versus fantastical hopes.

Oddly enough I wonder if they're renovating it because of the same reason they were renovating It's a small world in Disneyland in early April...They actually had a story on the local news in Anaheim discussing that the reason It's a small world was closed was to "Fat proof the boats." This is no joke, apparently genetic wise the human race is not as small as it was years ago and the ride was constantly being held up by boats that were getting stuck in the channel. I could be totally wrong for POTC's reason, but then again maybe not. Just a suggestion.

<<"Fat proof the boats." >>
Not something I would have thought of, but it does make sense.

They are not 'fat-proofing' the boats, besides the way many guests are piling on the pounds they'll soon need Disney Magic sized boats.

There is some mechanical work that really needs to be done. I've also been told that some AC needs replacing.

From what I understand, Pirates is just having some upgrades to its programing of the ride system and the flume pumps are being fixed. Also some of the work lights being fixed/adjusted for our evacuations.
