LOL, right! Talk about the weakest link--neither the looks nor the chops. Yeah, I'm buying THAT.

LOL!!! The only thing that makes it better is imagining him wearing a hat when he sees her and it goes flying up in the air. |

| barboy Wed 4/30/2008 9:21a | "The next time your wife puts on lipstick tell her her face is sexy like a baboon butt. See how quick you get laid."
LOL, Actually, I have never said that to her but I have asked her rhetorically:
"you do know deep down what accentuating women's lips with red/dark red/purple/rose lipstick and lip enlargement via injections symbolize don't you?...... They symbolize ***aroused*** female genitalia"
It's all done in good fun and teasing and we both laugh. In fact it's kind of a running joke with us.
But this is fine because we are adults and we are dealing with adult themes.
Now, that overtly sexual pose by a 15 year old is wholly inappropriate, and Miley, the parents and VF are blameworthy. Just what in the world are they trying to prove by that stunt---it is flat out is disgusting.
Interesting to note that a 12 year old running around completely nude having fun at a beach or pool can be appropriate but that pose while not showing any "privates" per se is way out of line. There is a proper context for everything.
(And again nobody wants to address that flagrant attempt at overtly accentuating her lips by the use of blue and grey hues in the backdrop)
Anyway, dsh if you see it differently then no problem---- we're still cool and I respect your position. :) |

| RoadTrip Wed 4/30/2008 1:11p | ^^^ I see in the "Last Post By" column that ADMIN has visited this thread. Although my post still stands, someone apparently felt it needed be reported.
I thought given the nature of World Events in general and this thread in particular, that my post would be seen as a humorous response to barboy's posts and nothing worse.
If I have offended any one I am sorry and would have no problem with it if ADMIN would like to delete the post.

| dsnykid Wed 4/30/2008 5:10p | Ya know, I think what bothers me most about this picture is that it's not for People, which teens read, or Seventeen, or any of those teen magazines... it's for Vanity Fair, a magazine not widely recognized for appealing to teens and tweens. This picture was done to invoke this kind of debate and publicity and is in a magazine that probably has a majority readership of 25 years and older. That's why this is so disturbing to me.. it's a picture that is being distributed to an adult only audience. Why does Miley Cyrus need to be in Vanity Fair in the first place? |
