Hi Darkbeer,

We are looking to go to the Magic Castle for a Saturday brunch. We will be driving down LATE Friday and I am looking for hotel suggestions in the Hollywood area that aren't a fortune. It doesn't have to be in the immediate area. I don't mind a short drive on Saturday morning, but I'm afraid of getting too far out and getting stuck in traffic. Plus, since we are driving in really late, I don't want to get up too early. I'm going to try for a 11:00 a.m. reservation.

It definitely doesn't have to be anything fancy, we will only be there one night, but it does have to be safe and CLEAN.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you might have. It is greatly appreciated! :)

I know this post comes a month late ...
but whether you went already or not ...
for the future:

Comfort Inn
2010 N Highland Ave
Los Angeles, CA 90068

It's a literally a spit's throw from the Magic Castle

A walk to it would take 7 minutes, roughly.

And if Comfort Inn's prices may be a bit steep .. then I would try a hotel/motel check for Studio City. In my daily travels .. I spot several moderate priced motels dotted along Ventura Blvd. It gets you away from the crazy "hub-bub" of LA proper .. by being just the other side of the Hollywood Hills (on the side of the Valley).

Just up the Cahuenga Pass. (Hollywood 101 Freeway cuts through it)
All times are Pacific Time (US)
