Er, I don't have any spoilers, sorry. :p

But I WANT spoilers, cause now that I've seen the parade I'm confused.

I heard something about Mickey's float being special or something, something about the bubbles or extra characters or something...but I was sitting right where Mickey's float stopped for that show pause or whatever people wanna call it, and I saw nothin. I was staring right at the float too.

So, Lee or anyone, can you fill me in on what I've obviously missed?

What are the special things that are hard to find, interesting, or whatever about this parade?

It is all about the bubbles! The float was loaded with character bubbles for the guests to try and spot - the bubbles are the motif for the concept designer Ilene Meyer. That is why they swarm around the play mode stops for the finale float.

You mean the pictures?

Not like some characters hidden behind a scrim or something? (that's what I was looking for)

Okay, yeah. I saw all the pictures of characters in the bubbles.

That was it?

***That is why they swarm around the play mode stops for the finale float.***

Actually, according to a friend of mine who is actually a big fan, the bubbles have nothing to do with the reason they swarm around that float.

She said that the reason for the big crowds around that float is because it is the only float that has lots of Disney "main characters" on it, so that's the reason they all want to see that particular unit.

Also, the friend I talked to said she and other fans really don't like the bubbles...they think it's cheesy and cheap. Seems like lots of people are commenting that the 25th seems cheap and weak for entertainment and they are just trying to make people buy more merchandise.

We are very disappointed they didn't have castle show too. Can't believe it!

Being a Western person myself I think there is very little point in complaining as the OLC clearly don't care what I think here. The Resort has no contact information available online through the English website. And it would rather probarely concentrate on pleasing its Japanese audience which visit a lot more often than my annual trips.

But its the OLC attitude of we know our guest better than anyone else that really annoys me here. Its a very ignorant attiude to have and while many are probarely easily amused by character greetings, I think a lot of others who have visited for many years can not be happy to have such a scale down Anniversary. I find it kind of ironic for the Resort to be selling that DVD Box Set of all the past shows and parades when what its offering in return is weak to past offerings.

Sounds like a lot of the complaining that us WDW folks complained about back when the "snow globe" parade first came out. It looked cheap, and seemed to be nothing more than a commercial for snowglobes. Hopefully, TDL isn't going down that path!!

At least you all get new parades all the time - we've had that same parade since it debuted for Walt's 100th Birthday thing. They've just changed the floats a little and changed the music. Very, very sad.

One of the things I like about posting on this board is that the members on it are not bias and if there feel OLC is putting out a poor product there will speak up about it. It does look like TDR is starting to go on a downward spiral here with the parade incident, only a few months back and now quite a few of the fanbase are fairly upset by the poor 25th Anniversary line up. I think we could make comparisons to WDW, but it doesn't really change the fact the OLC have let the standard fall.

I disagree with many.

I think the parade itself, Jubilation! is stunning.

I think the issue is with the number of offerings for the 25th as a whole, which, yes, is far less than previous anniversaries.

No full blown castle show, no smaller character style anniversary shows, and the fireworks presentation looked like it was going to be something very different, but doesn't seem like it has. Attraction wise...Monsters doesn't open 'till the tail end of the celebration...which I think it seems some folks have an issue with.

I think Jubilation!, again, is absolutely incredible. God forbid WDI-CE do something a little different.

ps. and about Share A Dream Come True- I disagree again. The "snowglobe" concept, to me, was a neat one and I did like it. The overall parade itself was not designed and executed as well. The concept was not poor, the execution was.
And the parade in it's original form was actually kind of beautiful. The stripping down since then, and the too long of a run of it (in either form) is the other issue.
But that's for another thread.
