Ikspiari has lots of cool restaurants.

Around the cinema area there is an awesome burger place called Kua Aina, and next to it is a really great Chinese restaurant (the name escapes me but you can't miss it...all red decor right outside the movies and next to the cafe there).

Monsoon Cafe on the third floor has a great atmosphere and nice Asian cuisine (more like Thai/Vietnamese), I'd say that place is a don't miss.

There is also a very good Sushi place, a Tonkatsu place, and a Shabu-shabu place if you want to sample some Japanese varieties.

Also a korean style barbque place which is new, and very good (rather pricy).

That's just the short list, there are many more restaurants. You can also find tons of other options just three minutes away at Shin-Urayasu station if you feel like leaving the resort (also more late night options once the resort has basically shut down for the night).

Have fun!

Actually Magellans is, I believe, the only restaurant I have NOT tried at DisneySea.

Reason being I tried the S.S. Columbia dining room and found it to be not worth the price. Given that there are so many nice, less expensive options at DisneySea I've just never bothered to drop the cash at Magellans as well (though it does seem to get good reviews).

Sorry. :)

Actually that's not entirely true. I haven't tried Restaurant Sakkura either.

Nor have I ever eaten at Hokkusai over at TDL.

Just seemed silly to me to bother eating Japanese food in the parks, since we're in Japan and all. ;)

It might rain, but that's after the June rainy season I believe.

In general, I recall early July to be hot, hot, hot.

Bring sunscreen. :)

The nice thing is, staying at a nearby hotel you can always go back to the room for a swim or a rest during the hot afternoon hours if you wish.

I would bring some rain gear just in case, but no I don't think you'll get a lot of rain.

Some years it's hotter than WDW. And extremely humid, plus the pollution levels add to the misery.

Can't answer you on the merchandise questions, sorry. I know they have a lot of stuff though.
