I've been to Magellan's and had a great experience. The food is good, and the atmosphere is incredible.

ernieb:

Portions are very small compared to both the US and Europe. I have a very small appetite and am sleight in build but even I struggle to feel full at a TDR restaurant after three courses. I would strongly recommend snacking through the day. Magellans is a beautiful restaurant but the food is far from good value. SS Columbia Dining Room is also popular due to its location. Personally I find Magellans a better experience.

Merchandise - very little in the way of collectibles except for a watch. TDR's approach is lots of little things like stationery, cellphone straps, buttons etc. There is a lot of 25th anniversary plush.

Best of luck in July - typically I avoid it like the plague - very hot and very humid. I've had mixed experiences when it comes to rain in July too - sometimes bone dry and other times absolutely soaking.

Oceano is a Meditteranean buffet. I find the food to be very good, though it is definitely adjusted to Japanese tastes. Still a great restaurant though.

Here's some stuff I just read about.

Starting July 8th the resort presents "25th anniversary 2nd stage", with the opening of "Cool the Heat" and "Goofy's Cool Panic", two soak the guests type shows (I'm guessing "Cool the Heat" is the same Cool Service show from before at DisneySea with Chip and Dale?).
