Before the Olympics, as a foreign passport holder you could waltz into Hong Kong and get your China visa in a matter of hours. You could even purchase one year multi-entry visa to China which is why Hong Kong was the gateway to China but until the Olympic games are over.

<<< By the way I read your most recent May day trip over at MiceChat, a board I will no longer be posting at, due to a number of reasons. >>>

What reasons (just curious)?

Its a few reasons but mainly its down to how popular the site has become. And some of the rather stupid rules and regulations that site has in place. I Also used to get rather annoyed when I would write a post, only to have the site crash on me, and resulting in me loosing what I had just wrote. Also I really don't have the time to devote hours on MiceChat trying to catch up on everything thats being writen. The LP boards are a lot easier to follow, and you can have a much more serious conversation with other members, who have great knowledge of the parks.

Sorry to go off topic here but SuperDry

Yes, I believe they accept Hong Kong Dollars.

But Macau does have its own currency, the pataca. Hong Kong dollars will be readily accepted at most places, and in any event you can use a money changer to get patacas from Hong Kong Dollars. But, the pataca is not widely exchangeable outside of Hong Kong and Macau, so be sure to get rid of them before you leave the area.

Very good advice.
