You'll love it. We did it last summer and it's worth it.

I know I am going to love it because my husband is the type of person who refuses to "save a spot" because he hates waiting and then gets enraged when people invade his space at the last minute.
I have the patience but with two children who inevitably have to go to the bathroom, I cannot save a spot.
Therefore, the last time I watched it I was alone and it is just not the same when you have no one to share it with!
I never met a dessert I didn't like either so it is sure to be a highlight of our trip!

I bought 10 tickets and gave them as Christmas gifts (my parents gifted the whole family with a trip that year). Everyone LOVED it! The grandparents because there was no way they could sit on the ground or stand around so long waiting; the kids because they felt like VIPs and had a clear view; and our generation because we recognized it for the treat it is.

Thanks, Main Street Dad, it is good to know that my husband isn't the only one who feels this way!
SuzieQ, I remember reading about you doing this and thought it was such a wonderful idea!
My five year old son isn't going to get the significance of it but my daughter who is going to turn 10 on the trip is going to think she is totally a VIP!
I think it is totally worth it as a "special event" and I know Toxman is going to love it too!

Can I be adopted?

LOL - get in line! My parents are including the entire family in their retirement enjoyment :) As they say, they are spending our inheirtance while they are still alive to enjoy it with us.

Next month, it's an Oregon roadtrip with a beach house as our destination.
All times are Pacific Time (US)
