I always hear people talking about the ultimate Disney vacation. And I wondered if you had no budget and money was no object-but you had to stay a DLR in Calif what would you do? What in your head would be the end all beat all for you? And keep it real, no bringing people back to life! LOL!!

1) Stay at the Grand California's most exclusive and/or best suite for the first week, then stay in the Disneyland Dream suite for a few nights.

2) Go to Disneyland and DCA. A lot.

2) Buy the coolest, most expensive items in the stores.

3) Eat the food that looks the best, no matter the cost.

For us - that would mean staying at a Concierge Level room either at the Disneyland Hotel or the Grand Californian (although we like both, we give an edge to the Disneyland Hotel). Since you are talking about close to $500 per night, it would add up in a hurry.

I'd stay overnight in the Disneyland Gallery. (Are people doing that now?)

The Pirate Suite at the DLH looked pretty cool so that is where my family would stay. If money was no object I would love to pay for some of my extended family and the express jet gangs family to stay at other rooms at the DLH for a week. We would have dinner at Napa Rose and Fantasmic dessert riverside seating. Of course, if I had unlimited funds, I am sure I could get us all into Club 33.

Oh well... I better get back to reality.

2 weeks at the GCH on the concierge level. I would let the kids buy anything they even glanced at. I would buy every attraction poster I don't already have. We wouldn't have to smuggle our snacks and sandwiches in because we would just buy whatever looked good whenever we wanted to. And I would take my parents along too, of course. The sad part is, I know people that could do this if they wanted to, but they don't.

I would take both my sons and their families with me....Pirates Suite at the DL Hotel...two weeks (at least!) Always wanted to spend Christmas there....order a tree for each room, stockings for everyone. Cookies, choc covered strawberries, krispy treats, all delivered to the room on different nights. Fantasmic Riverside seating. Whatever anyone wanted from any of the stores. Sephora Makeovers for the girls, Build A Bear for the little ones, dinner at Napa Rose, and wherever else they have not been and want to try. GCH hotel spa visit for whomever wanted to go. All I can think of at the moment, but am sure once there I could spend on a lot more!!

C'mon guys, think bigger.

I would rent DL for the night, and pay for them to run Fantasmic, Remember and the Parade. And I would invite all of LP and their families, several Make a Wish Families and inner city kids and their families. We would have a fabulous party and I would dress as Santa Clause, giving Disney presents to everyone there by hand.

We would then have the Grand to ourselves for a week with everything on the house. And special guests would include Stephen Spielburg, George Lucas, Johnny Depp, Tim Burton and all the living Disney Legends.

How much exactly is no budget and money was no object? Am I allowed to invite friends?

If you're talking truly unlimited funds, and I could take family as well as friends, I would naturally want to stay in the El Capitan (or Mt. Whitney) suite. There would be dining at the Napa Rose, Club 33, and the Blue Bayou. I've gotten over buying souvenirs, but since "money is no object" if I saw something I liked, I would buy it!

Lastly, since I have unlimited funds, every LPer gets a room at the Disney hotel of their choice, and I rent out both DL and DCA for one night for one giant private party!
