>> If Money Was No Object << .... I'd create a "Disneyland" with JUST the right amount of Disney characters .. without them being in your face at every turn! And create UNIQUE adventures that resonate on a human level .. and not JUST a silly giggly romp with those "oh so cute" characters.

Okay .. back to your normal programming. :~

Actually OC, I was thinking along the same lines myself.

I was going to say something like "if money was REALLY no object, in like a Bill Gates sense, I'd take over the company and then build all those attractions we all want without any concern for the bottom line...then I'd close the parks for a month to all but select LPers and we'd go to town". :D

p.s. I'd also allow an extremely generous stipend to all those LPers, and their friends and family and mine, maybe $100,000 per day or something silly like that, and allow tipping resort-wide towards any and all cast members anyone thought deserved it.

<<if money was no object I'd find some land somewhere nice (Northern CA??)and build my own disneyland replica>>

Mine wouldn't be a replica, but a "yesterland;" it would be filled with all the attractions, shows, parades etc., that have since been replaced. It would have a little bit from every Disney park around the world.

We would have all the best rooms at the Grand. One night we would have a lavish party in the lobby area, with a celebrity on piano, think Elton John, Richard Sherman, etc.
One night, a private Mardi Gras party in New Orleans Square, with Club 33, Blue Bayou and the Dream Suite open to all, along with cocktails and live entertainment on the Mark Twain.
Another night, a private showing of the broadway version of Beauty And The Beast, at the theater in DCA, followed with a wonderful dinner at Napa Rose.
On the nights you dont have anything else going on, you rent the parks from 6:00pm to 2:00am, everything included, yes, even souvenirs!
By the way, all LPers are invited!
Well, it looks like I just ran out of money.

MMM...unlimited funds...I would purchase an apartment/condominium complex close by the park. I would additionally purchase several vans to shuttle residents between the complex and the park. I would then offer children one week vacations with their families to stay at the complex, including air fare/ transportation to the Anaheim area, one week stay with all necessities in one of the apartments/condos, premium AP for every member of the family, groceries for the week that could be preordered by the family, one to two thousand dollars in spending money for the family for the week (depending on family size.). This would be a need based vacation, with children from a poverty background both here and abroad.

Ok and now the selfish part!! I would rent out a Disney suite in either DLH or GCC hotel for the next 50 years to allow any family member (or myself) to visit Disney in style. Additionally, I would purchase the Disney Vacation club for all family members to choose their preferred vacation destination. I would also purchase Club 33 membership for myself, my family, and a corporate sponsorship for my vacation village families. I would quit my job to plan and run the vacation village as a non-profit. That would free up time to visit DL and DCA with my daughter daily. MMMM....well that is a good start....

All righty then, now back to work....still fun to dream...and DREAM BIG!! ~~Grin~~

OK so if money were no object I would actually BUY a couple of really nice rooms at the Grand Californian. BUY lifetime memberships for my family and whoever else I felt needed one! :)
I really like the idea of having an extra 2 hours after the park closes to the public just for us - that's my favorite time to be in the park is at closing so I really like that! Of course I would make sure the CM's that stayed for those extra hours got paid a good overtime rate too! :) I want to spend a night in the Haunted Mansion too, I just think that would be facinating! I want "backstage" access to all of the rides. I think the neatest thing is to see how they all work. I know some people think that ruins the magic, but for me, it makes it better!
I also would EAT and EAT and EAT whatever I wanted. There have been so many places I've wanted to try that I never have, and probably never will, just because its sooo expensive. NO MORE! :)
I guess I would just really like the opportunity to buy whatever I wanted or eat whatever I wanted. We've never been able to splurge on a vacation so I think that would be just the best feeling in the world to do!
