Ironically I would saw the wombats of America live in the Midwest and the South. Then again, I'm a California native ;-) |

For those who don't know, but most do... I was born in So. Cal. and didn't move to LV until I was 11 years old. If I could afford to live there, I'd move back - and still may, eventually. :-) |

I think Californians and Minnesotans are much the same. We both have a smug belief that our state and its people are better than what is found anywhere else.
Most Americans, those outside California and Minnesota, find this belief rather tiresome.
Tiresome or not, I just wish the Californian's would finally admit that in the final analysis Minnesota has them beat!!

| ChurroMonster Wed 5/7/2008 1:20a | I've lived in other states and another country but I've lived in SoCal for over nine years now. I wouldn't say the people here are better than other people in other places. Quite the opposite actually. I would say, though, that the quality of life is better here than most places when you factor in all the stuff that is nearby: Beaches, mountains, pro sports, college sports, world class theme parks, world class shopping, the desert, neighborhoods representing nearly every culture on the planet, and the entertainment industry.
Oh yeah, we also have some of the best weather on the planet.
We have it all. |

| TMICHAEL Mon 5/12/2008 4:57p | ^^^Uhm nope, I have 2 great BBQ places that I frequent quite regularly. In Seal Beach go to Beachwood BBQ on Main Street. Awesome slow cold smoked, dry rubbed baby backs AND 21+ micro-brews on tap. And in Long Beach hit Johnny Rebs on Long Beach blvd for a larger menu and another great smoked BBQ with high quality meats. |
