I guess you are right there. The last president I voted for (Bush) is a clown, and so is Franken.
But this election I'm going to try to stay away from clowns, so I'll be voting for Coleman.

Fri 5/2/2008 4:15p | DAR, you know a lot of teachers but none have lost their jobs? Do you live in CA? Because of the budget cuts the Governator imposed I know a lot of teachers were handed pink slips. My kids' district was fortunate they had enough people retire to not have layoffs. But next year they are looking at a lot more cuts, including increased class sizes in the lower grades.
The class size doesn't matter much anyway since all the kids are kept at the same pace in math and literature because of no child left behind. Nothing extra for the advanced kids, they have to keep pace with the others. Our district is so bad that there really is nothing for the advanced kids. They are pretty much stuck in limbo.
Shows how much our republican governor and president care about our children's education. Let them all learn the same, with very little budget to teach them.
Okay, sorry for the rant. I get frustrated when I think about the fact that my kids, who are very smart, have no way to grow beyond the bounds of our education system. |
