I just feel terrible for any people who witnessed this, especially kids.
Checking out is a deeply personal matter, but when other people are forced to bear witness to such an awful thing, it's hard not to feel a little anger toward the deceased.

Well I think he heard there was room for only one more in the Haunted Mansion and wanted to secure his place before someone beat him to it.

What a sad, selfish thing to do. I can't imagine how horrible it must have been for the innocent people who both witnessed this act and now have had to deal with it.

Was there any mention of witnesses? I was thinking how horrible it would be for my kids witness such a thing.

We had the same thing happen several years ago at the DLH. I believe we were on the 7th floor...and I just remember my mom n dad telling me to stay away from the window as I came out from taking a shower. It was early evening-ish, still light outside, and after things were cleared up, there was still signs of trauma...blood on the ground, hopefully they do a better job at cleaning things up this time around than they did when we were there. We never heard if it was an accident or not, but it really put a damper on the rest of our vacation.

I have seen a person jump off a building to their death. It's a horrible horrible thing. My sympathies to anyone who witnessed it.

I tend to feel more sympathy towards the poor guy who was so desperately hopeless he decided to end it all.

But hey, that's just me.

Very sad story for all involved - the man, his family and anyone who might have witnessed it.

>>>"I tend to feel more sympathy towards the poor guy who was so desperately hopeless he decided to end it all."<<<

Having seen the aftermath firsthand from someone in my family who committed suicide-I don't. What it does to a family is horrid.

Suicide is a selfish act.
