You can also use Magical Express without having them pick up your luggage. The flight on our last trip to Orlando got in about 11:30 PM which meant we wouldn't get to our resort until after midnight. We didn't want to have to wait for luggage to be delivered before putting on jammers and going to bed.

The ME folks told us to NOT use the luggage tags they sent us, but pick up our luggage ourselves from the carousel before checking in at the ME counter.

The bus has a space to hold the luggage beneath the passenger area and the driver was very helpful with stowing and then retrieving our bags.

I was a skeptic of ME at first. We always used Tiffany Town Car and didn't know if we wanted to "slum it" by taking the bus. But we've used the service on two trips now and have been VERY satisfied. It is a great service and saves us the $100 + tips that we used to pay Tiffany.

I too was skeptical, but have been very pleased with the service. Plus the fact that you save over $100 doesn't hurt either!

We have our yellow bands, I'm just wondering how ME knows to check SW for our luggage. And worrying does help: 95% of the things I worry about never happen!

Oh! I have a question about ME, too. We are flying Southwest on the 19th of May and we have our yellow tags. If we want to collect our own luggage and load it into the ME by ourselves so it's there when we get there is that possible? I think from reading this thread that it is...

That way we'll have our luggage when we arrive. We just won't use the yellow ME tags but we'll still use our vouchers for the ME ride to the Resort. Yes?

Correct. That is what we did.

O.K...one more opinion question about ME...

Do you think it's worth it to use the yellow tags, or should I gather our luggage myself and bring it to the bus? Does it take all that long to get it to the Resort? I won't need it immediately but I'd like to have it by dinner time or so. We land at 1:35. Thanks!!

P.S. Two more days!!

I loved not having to deal with my luggage. We arrived at 9:00 am ish on a Sunday and checked into our room. we then went out. By the time we came back at 2:00 or so our bags were in our room. I have no idea how long they were waiting for us.

I think it really depends on timing. I would recommend it if arriving early. However, we arrived at 4:30pm (felt like 1 in the morning due to the jetlag) and it took until just after midnight to arrive to AKL. Not great for us. It was a good thing we took the kids' PJs in hand luggage.

I would say either take the things you need in hand luggage, or carry your luggage to the bus for those timings.

Yes SWA does support ME I used before, however, I was suprized when they offered it because I had thought they did not. But use ME it's awesome.

Wish they'd get their stories straight. When I called SWA a couple weeks ago, the girl said they didn't. She said it depended on the hotel, does that make any sense? However in 9 days, I'll have my answer. One of my daughters wasn't in our original reservation, so no ME tags for her, but for $25 she can ride the bus with us. Still cheaper than a cab, she'll just be responsible for her own luggage.
