1	alexbook Mon 5/5/2008 1:04p	I'm curious about the the topics that are showing up from user "AutoPost". What's the story?
2	Doobie Mon 5/5/2008 1:14p	We've always had the ability to discuss things from other parts of the site on the boards. For some of those things, we're automatically creating the topic rather than waiting for someone to post something. It has two benefits for us: 1) More likely to get a discussion started 2) There are many who go to the boards often and don't go to the main site as much. This will alert them that there is something new on the site. I've many times seem something posted on the boards generate discussion that was already on The Latest. That's fine, but it tells me people missed it. It has the downside that there are topics with no posts in them other than the AutoPost so that might annoy some. I realize that and don't use it for everything. However, I do want to try to encourage that back-and-forth between the two areas of the site. Doobie.
