On our first full day we decided to head back to Epcot. I dragged DH and DS out of bed and off we went. First stop was to make a break for Soarin’ to grab fastpasses. I left DH and DS on a park bench and I was like a salmon pushing up stream through the masses, got the fastpasses, regrouped with the fam and then off to Test Track. We made the rounds of Future World. Saw the new Space Ship Earth. I really like the new AA’s, but we all felt that the computer screen ending was pretty lame. We miss our cavers that they took out. :(

I needed to head over to guest services and DS wanted to ride Living with the Land again and the wait was only 10 minutes so the plan was for me to head to guest services and DS and DH were to go on LWtL and then I told them I would meet them at the exit of the ride. So I took care of my business and headed over to the ride exit to wait for them. I checked the line first and they weren’t in line. The sign still said 10 minutes so I figured they were in the ride. As I was waiting, who should appear, but the Dream Team!!!! They headed into the exit of the ride and I saw them standing by watching their watches. I watched the boats looking for the fam. Nope, not this boat. Nope not this boat. I was getting really excided. Suddenly, they start handing out the Dream Fastpasses to the people getting off the boats. I figure at this point my husband and son should be just about getting off the ride. I look through the boat. Nope not that boat. OK next boat. Everyone gets fastpasses. Nope not that boat. Four boats go through and get fastpasses…

No sign of DH and DS.

I sat there and waited for 20 minutes. Suddenly I happen to glace up and see DH standing at the top of the stairs to the pavilion. Turns out he saw the line decided that Disney must not know what they were talking about and that the line was too long and decided not to ride the ride. And he wasn’t paying attention and thought I said I would meet him at the exit of the Land Pavilion, not the ride. I think I deserve a medal for not strangling him right then and there. Instead I opted for more booze.

We headed over to England and had Fish and Chips for lunch and an ale and watched the performers do the Legend of the Holy Grail and I felt better. We hit the Universe of Energy and then decided to head back to the hotel for a swim and a foo foo drink by the pool.

After a swim we headed back for the evening. We used a fastpass we had gotten earlier in the day for Test Track and then headed over to World Showcase. This was the first time I got to see the improvements to the Mexico ride. I liked it but I will miss tormenting my husband with the song though it will live on in our minds over and over and over and over(you can hear the song now can't you). We went to ride the Norway ride, but apparently the trolls had gotten ahold of it and it was down due to technical difficulties. Around to China which seems to be overrun with really big bullfrogs. And then Germany. I was really sad to see the trains. It seems to be the pastime of obnoxious kids now to throw things at the model trains and derail them. By the time we got there, only one train was still on the track and a group of kids were throwing coins at it to try to get it to derail. Pretty pathetic.

We had priority seating in Italy and got there just as the rain started. Very good timing. We were starving! The food was very good, but really not worth the prices they charged for it. That’s a lot of money for pasta, and not very much pasta at that. It was a good thing we ate two baskets of bread. We probably won’t be adding that one to our repeat list. Shared a very good Sicilian Nero d’ Avalo with my husband at dinner, but realized that between the ale, the foo foo drinks and the wine, I had really overdone the alcohol that day and was developing a pretty good headache and decided to switch to lots of water and call it a night. The rain had let up to a nice little drizzle so we headed out.
