Well I see the differences of opinions here...
I have to admit, my son is quite bothered they are shutting down the sight. As a parent, I would absolutely pay for this sight- just as with Pirates On Line; not a big fee at all;
He enjoys the networking with kids; its very safe and monitored well.
I never really thought about it until he told me they were closing it this month- I don't ever remember reading it was temporary- but, I could be wrong.
For the kids, I wish they would give the adults an option to pay to upkeep and maintain the site.

<I wouldn't blame Disney if in the future they look back on this and realize how ungrateful so many people were towards their generosity.>

Good point Mickeyfan1, but I doubt Disney is going to be that upset that a bunch a people are mad at them for closing down a Video Game. Disney closes things down all the time, and when ever you close something down someone is gonna be mad about it.
As a person who was a member of VMK I am slightly ticked at Disney, but if I was in their position I would have made the same descesion. I probably wouldn't have gone with all of the cover ups for it closing, but I would have laid down the facts: Vmk was a free game that was costing more money to run than it was taking in in merchandise.
