| WDWmom64055 Tue 5/6/2008 10:23a | I just finished reading the article about Disney's top 10 mistakes. I am a bit disturbed to see that the San Angel Inn was singled out as the sole bad restaurant at Epcot.
As is my luck, I have ADRs for lunch there on the 30th. This is my first visit to World Showcase and I chose it for the menu and the setting...thinking it might be similar in that to the Blue Bayou.
My ADRs for this trip have been a major issue. I'd already changed this one once because my preteen really didn't want to have belly dancers in his face during dinner.
So, and I am asking this in all sincerity, should I cancel this ADR? If the food is horrific we can grab counter service. I have a picky eater and have found it hard to find sit down restaurants that carry what he likes- so it won't be a major issue if we have one less meal on our plan.

We all enjoyed it. Maybe not as much as some of the other Epcot restaurants, but it's certainly wasn't something to be avoided.

I've eaten at the San Angel Inn quite a few times and as is the case with most restaurants I've liked some of their dishes better than others. I think that the "Mahi-Mahi a la Veracruzana" is one of the finest entree's I've had at Epcot.
The only thing that I really don't like at the San Angel is the chips... they taste like (and I think ARE) Tostitos. But even there, a tasty salsa helps make up for the grocery store chips.

All the Epcot restaurants are fine dining pretty much, where as this one is ok. But the setting and atmosphere are excellent. Go and enjoy. |

| WDWmom64055 Tue 5/6/2008 2:07p | Thanks, all! I'll keep the ADRs...knowing that what my kids will focus on is the atmosphere, not the food, anyway! It is great to have regulars to turn to for help!!! |

| brerroadrunner Tue 5/6/2008 6:33p | We really like to go there for lunch. A margarita and a plate of nachos are great. My DH and I share the nachos which are very good. Try to get a table in the back near the water and your kids will enjoy watching the boats. Spmetimes they will have the Mariachi band come out and that is entertainng. I think you will enjoy lunch here. We do! |

| Disneymom443 Tue 5/6/2008 7:50p | We go every time we go to Epcot. My husband loves it. To me it's ok, but the atmosphere is amazing. You'll have a good time. I think everyone should try it at least once. That way you can make the dession on how it is up to you. Remember everyone has different tastes, one may not like something and one may love it.
Have a great time and let us know what you think. ºo º |

| Mickeymouseclub Tue 5/6/2008 9:08p | I always like to eat here. The food was good until they started using Tostitos Chips but the atmosphere is fun. I always have to have the fruit drink(nonalcohol) because it is so refreshing in the heat. It is also available at the quik-service Mexican/Bar just across from San Angel.A juice version is available and a slushy also. Not sure if one is available with alcohol. |
