One more early morning as we were heading to Disney Studios. It took quite a while to drag DS out of bed. He really wasn't asleep. He was just pretending because he is still terrified of ToT. The kid skis double diamond chutes, climbs mountains and scuba dives but still refuses to step foot into ToT. After assuring him that there was no way we were going to force him to ride ToT, he jumped out of bed. We headed on in and straight to Rockin'. Now DS loves this one. Then over to ToT where we did a swap. I waited first while DH rode and then I headed on. I was seated next to what seemed like a really nice man and his son. We entered the drop shaft and this must have been their first time riding, because the father was not holding on and when the elevator dropped he grabbed the first thing he could grab. It was not the handlebar. I'm going to give the man the benefit of the doubt and assume that this was not his plan all along.

Rode the Great Movie Ride next and much to my pleasure, everything in the ride was fully functional. The gangster car was working, both aliens were functioning. It has been a long time since I've ridden this ride without noticing things broken down that it was so wonderful to see it in such good shape.

Made the rounds, did the backstage tour and then headed over for Lights Motors Action. That looks like so much fun! I told DH that for my next birthday I want to go to stunt driving school!

We always have to head over to the Animation Building to the Animation Academy to draw a character before we leave. That day we got to draw Daisy. I think my drawing turned out very nice. I tried to get them to tell me who I needed to talk to to get an animation job with Disney, but they didn't seem interested in giving up that information.

We rode Rockin' and ToT again and this time my seatmates were able to respect my personal space.

Since we had been hitting it pretty hard, we decided to call it an early day and headed back to the hotel and spent the rest of the afternoon lounging by the pool.

Sounds like a really fun day. Lol on the Tower. Ironically one pulls far more positive and negative G's on RNRC than ToT. Lol.

I am so glad GMR was in good condition. I have never been on when the two aliens have worked properly.

And LMA, that is one of my favorite shows Disney has ever created. Glad you liked it! It didn't seem to play as well to WDW audiences as the WDSP audiences. How were the crowd this time?

LMA was PACKED by 15 minutes before showtime with people still trying to get in even after the show had started. And this wasn't a very busy day. Some crowds for Cinco de Mayo, but not not really noticeable. I think it's picking up in popularity and the audience really seemed to love it.

That is fantastic news. I love this show and at DLP it gets rapturous applause (hence why they cloned it for WDW). When we went to WDW, people seem to be leaving throughout. I was shocked.

There are 2 aliens in the GMR Just kidding:) When we were there in feb it seemed like some things were changes sin we had last been there (Aug 07).

Funny how different kids react to rides. DS12 was terrified of TOT and didn't ride unitl he was 10. DS 8 has been riding since he was 5.

we are yet to see the stunt show! hoping to this year. Think it might be a bit scary for a little timid guy? (he will be 6)

My kids have loved the stunt show since they were tiny babies. They both love it now. Think James Bond Bloona, if they like that, they will like LMA.

Too funny! We had a similar experience at DCA's TOT in December. We talked a friend into riding the attraction for the first time. She hates roller coasters and drops, but decided to give it a try (she's quite a trooper). In retrospect, we should have seated her in between hubby & me. When that first drop hit, she grabbed the legs of the people seated on each side of her -- me and another passenger we didn't know. My friend squeezed my leg pretty good, but thinks the lady on the other side of her got it a bit worse (the stranger being on my friend's right and her being right-handed, and all). My friend couldn't stop apologizing to the poor woman when the ride was finally over. I felt bad for talking her into going on the ride with us. We're such big fans of TOT, we just couldn't imagine why others wouldn't be. LOL

When we go to WDW together next January, I can't imagine that we'll get her to try the DHS version. And, there's no way her big, cop hubby will go on it with us. Wuss. :-P

Oh, and I've been enjoying your trip report, sherrytodd. Thanks for sharing with us.

It's making me more excited and anxious for our trip in January. Only 243 days to go.... (sigh)
