I understand where you guys are coming from, but I think Disney was just trying to do something different. There haven't been any movies with this type of plot, so you can't blame them for trying.

It seems like a lot of movie studios are running out of ideas for movies, which is why we are seeing a lot of remakes of older movies now.

So, I guess Disney is thinking outside the box on this one, so you should applaud them for that. Also, I am sure a lot of people though WALL-E looked stupid, and lok how well that did.

Does anyone know why the release date for this was changed from 9/26 to 10/3?

When Million Dollar Duck or The Cat From Outer Space was released, a matinée ticket was 2.25 or even less.. I'm not paying 9.50 to see this movie.

Million Dollar Duck came out in 1971.

$2.25 in 1971 = $12.22 in 2008.

Much cheaper than say LibbyLu or one of those jump places!!

I'm amazed that with all the fantastic GGI out there, they can't seem to get the animals mouths to look right.

They look so clunky and stilted when they're talking.

Weird....

You left out that you would be able to see 2 movies and a cartoon in 1971 for one admission.

<You left out that you would be able to see 2 movies and a cartoon in 1971 for one admission.>

The point is, the Disney movies of the 70s were pretty hit and miss.

'1,000,000 Dollar Duck' is pretty clunky. As is 'The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes' 'The Barefoot Executive' 'The Treasure of Matecumbe' -- should I go on?

I love Matecumbe. The others I like, but not love.

What can I say: I am a fan of 50's through 70's live-action.

But I'm not going to see the Chihuahua movie.
