And I wonder how much Disney's expenses have increased over the same time span. Like another poster said, the place is a business and prices are set to what the market will bear. By almost any standard DLR's parking rates are reasonable even with the recent price increase. |

Or to build new things.
Or both.

Hope you are happy in a pup tent, playing cards or ball in a farmer's field. I find Disney vacations still offer fantastic value. |

Ouch. That stung.
I agree that the parking, for the most part is reasonable for the location. I also agree that DL is a business and I don't begrudge them their profits. I just can choose to spend my money there less off to offset the rise in parkhoppers, food, and so on.
On that note, I am over and out with this discussion. Carry on. |

| davewasbaloo Thu 5/8/2008 4:02p | MerryMouseWife, I meant no offence. It is just that I find Disney still offers fantastic value compared to other vacation offerings.
Having looked at cheaper options e.g. renting a chalet/cabin/mobile home etc., then looking at activities, that often works out far more expensive and no where near the value in my experience.
Given the current economy and inflation, everyone is tightening their belts, and that is definately warrented.
Also - please excuse me terseness today, I had to deal with the death of a child. When these things happen, I am not very sensitive in my responses. |

| davewasbaloo Thu 5/8/2008 4:27p | Thanks Hans. Sometimes I wish I pursued a different career. I think when these things happen I try to come onto LP and talk about other things. And this means sometimes I can come out of left field.
I just hope I haven't scared our newer poster away. I admit, I could have explained my counter arguement with great articulate accumen, rather than being so ascerbic. |

Best regards. |
