Is the pool being enlarged at the CB?

This new DVC could look cool. I wonder if they will have a moving walkway between the two buildings (though a People Mover would be even cooler!)

When we were at CBR in Feb a CM told us they were making the pool much bigger, adding a few more water slides and 2 hot tubs to hold more guests. I wish I had taken more photos of the "old" one to compare.

Can't wait to see what the Contemporary DVC will look like! I'm so excited. It should also add a nice backdrop for Tomorrowland as well.
And I'm really excited to see how the new pool at CBR is going to turn out.

Thanks for the pictures Doobie. Does it look like the walk way from the DVC to the Contemporary is going to be straight or zig zag.

<<Is the pool being enlarged at the CB?>>

Totally replaced. The CBR's pool hasn't been sufficient for years. Remember, when it opened the 'resort' was basically considered and marketed as a value resort (even if they didn't use that terminology).

The jacuzzi was a total joke for what for years was the largest hotel in the USA (really!) as it fit four smallish adults.

So, they're just doing what should have been done a decade ago.

I'm more concerned about upkeep. I've had some nightmarish experiences at that resort -- including the first Disney room I ever had to refuse outright and tell management it shouldn't be in service.

As far as I know, the rooms haven't had a major upgrade since 2000-01 (about when I last stayed) and I can only imagine what those rooms look like.

<<This new DVC could look cool. I wonder if they will have a moving walkway between the two buildings (though a People Mover would be even cooler!)>>

I doubt that ... besides, so many guests use ECV's they really don't need moving walkways anyway!

true about CBR, I do not know why it is so popular other than location.

As for the Contemporary, lol. Just thinking about something that would make it even more interesting.

I have said it before but we love CBR. With all of the negative said, I really inspected the rooms both times we stayed and they were spotless. Mousekeeping was excellent. Foodcourt service was quick and friendly. The "old pool" was really cool, but not large enough for the size of the resort. The jacuzzi was soooo small. I hope they keep a waterfall, I loved that.

I found the resort so relaxing. Not too busy feeling or hustle bustly. Perfect for a family of 4! One thing I LOVE about WDW is that there is so many different places to stay, everyone can find their happy place!
All times are Pacific Time (US)
