I do not believe that it is straight. It looks to zig zat somewhat. I'm curious to see if it will have windows (assuming it's enclosed). If it does, it would be a great place to watch fireworks (if that's permitted).

Are you kidding me!? I love CBR! It's quite possibly one of my favorites at WDW. Now, when I went the rooms were nothing like you described. They were well kept and just as good as any other resort on property. And as far as the resort itself, it's wonderful. So relaxing and laid-back, and quite beautiful. I really enjoyed watching watching Illuminations (well, what you could see of it) while laying on a comfy hammock eating a delicious dessert from the food court, and that to me is what Disney vacationing is all about. :) |

The walkway is a serpentine, i've not seen the pictures in question but i've seen it in person. It's a cable stay bridge between the buildings that serpentines onto alternating sides of support posts. |

I loved it when it opened two decades ago, but back then it wasn't every day that Disney opened a new resort, let alone one that wasn't designed to bankrupt the average person's vacation fund.
I'm reasonably sure that I'll likely stay there in the future at some point, but it sure won't be until they rehab those rooms again.

Fri 5/9/2008 10:05a | ^^Thanks spirit, I think you hit the exact reason I do like it CBR. Being from western NYS, there is no island feel (obviously) so I love to get that on vacation. Now many people love Saragoga Springs Resort, but to me that wouldn't be a vacation - too much like home. I had never thought of that before. I don't suppose most residents of New Orleans would want to stay at POFQ/Riverside either. |
