I didn't realize catastrophic storms were a modern phenomenon - shows how ignorant I am. |

His confident assertion that the years following the unprecedented 2005 Atlantic Hurricane Season (15 full scale hurricanes) would offer more of the same turned out to be false (5 hurricanes in 2006, and 6 in 2007). He had nary a word to say to explain why he was so wrong. But now he has a new disaster to point at to prove he was right all along... |

| plpeters70 Wed 5/7/2008 2:42p | I thought this was a good quote from the article:
"If he is wrong about global warming, what harm is there in taking better care of the planet anyways?"
He may be a little premature in linking this storm to global warming, but that certainly doesn't change the need to clean up the planet. |

I would agree with this. I know our planet is in trouble, but I'm still not sure whether or not man has anything to do with this. That being said, there is definitely no harm in doing things to try to help.
But Gore really comes across as an idiot sometimes. I find it very difficult to take him seriously and find most of what he says to be hypocritical and condescending. |

That's true. But the lengths to which Gore and others wish to legislate and tax us to do so go too far. |

Global warming is like racism. Not all bad things that happen to black people can be attributed to racism. Likewise, not all bad things in nature can be attributed to global warming.
Although racism and global warming are real, that doesn't mean they are to blame for everything. |

| WilliamK99 Wed 5/7/2008 10:16p | My problem with "experts" such as Al Gore is that every storm that we get from now on will be attributed to Global Watming...
So basically 40 years ago we never had storms and they are only happening now because of Global Warming?
Next Volcanic Eruptions will be blamed on Global Warming by Gore and his "eco" friends. |

That's easy...the Gods (angered by all of the celebrating)! |
