Sounds like you have really planned this out. Now all you have to do is give this to the Disney guys in charge of this kind of activity and get it going. I'd cheer you on.

That definately sounds like something that would be a lot of fun. I think there is definately enough interest out there (if they can do it with soap operas, why not Disney Channel?), so I am a little surprised that they haven't actually already done it. I'm sure that it would completely pack MGM to the gills with people, and would probably make for a really fun atmosphere, even if you had no interest in the DC stuff. Add me to the list of folks who think it would be fun!

If they did it certain areas of the park wiould be different for the weekends. Rockin Roller Coaster would feature Jonas Brothers or Hannah Montana. Tower of Terror would be The Tipton with Arwin tring to fix the elevator. They would have a Camp Rock Section behind Rockin Roller Coaster. Phineas and Ferb, Emperor's New School, and Kim Possible characters would be out and about, Muppets would be a
3-D movie featuring Wiza5rds of waverly place

This sounds like a great idea. Of course, I'd like a West Coast version...

Actually, we get to see the Disney Channel stars at many of the premieres and openings out here. And based on the fan reaction, a Disney Channel Weekend would go over very big. The "blue carpet" for High School Musical 2 was hands down the most fan frenzied I have ever seen. The kids KNOW their Disney Channel stars.

So, Disney Channel Weekend out here would be at DCA (naturally!). There would be a motorcade along the entertainment corridor. Autograph locations. Guest panels. And a big concert stage where the X Games arena was built-- backstage between the Farm and Pacific Wharf. Save the Golden State Amphitheater for panel discussions. And Stage 17 would be a great place for a smashing party on Saturday night. Or a series of parties with sets by various bands. That way more guests could be accommodated.

I hope someone from Disney Channel promotions is reading all this. The idea is free! And I think it's a really good one.

I can't imagine that a Disney Channel Weekend hasn't already been thought of by the powers that be. But wanted to share my dream. There were rumors of a Fanfest with this year's games but it didn't materialize.

I think it would be a huge spike in attendance for the DHS. There has to be some draw back that we are missing. Your idea Rebekah has the potential to match Star Wars week-ends in attendance. There has to be a logistics problem or something along that line. I would suppose all of the Stars of the Disney Channel have some kind of promotional appearance clause in their contracts.
All times are Pacific Time (US)
