<Ima Hogg>

I actually met this woman - this was her name - not married - Ima was a family name!! Her sister's name was Vesta - neither married! They were customers at a bank I worked at!!

>>Square Age, Jr.

So obviously there is a Square Age, Sr. out there somewhere too!!

I went to high school with a guy named Levi.
His middle name was Gene.
His last name wasn't Strauss but it was super close to it.

I love it when parents get "creative"! Do they not realize what there doing to these poor kids!!??

How about women who marries someone whose last name is the same as her first? I've met 2 women that had happened to.

I know a Pat who married a Patrick, so now they have the same name.

I know these can't be helped, but I also have a student whose parents named him the same as their last name. So his first and last names are the same. That is bizzare!!

I've met a Rose Rose before - same thing - she married into the last name. The thing that gets me is why would you do that to yourself? Keep your dang maiden name for goodness sakes! :)

According to the book, Mrs. Ball Ball was also a woman who married into the double name.

They also say there have been multiple people named Cook Cook, at least one of whom listed his occupation as "hotel cook."

Then there were Young Young, Jump Jump, Putt Putt, Green Green, Golden Golden, and Maroon S. Maroon.

I'm really loving this book. :-)

I have a friend named Lauren McLaren. Apparently her parents just liked the name Lauren, and never wrote it down in full until after she was born, when they realized that it looked an awful lot like Lauren McLauren. So that's what everybody calls her now...
