I know it is environmentally friendly but I just can't see myself going down the drain when I am dead (heck I don't even like coffee).

I like the idea for myself. But only if I could pre-record my voice saying "I'm meellltiiinnngg.... meeelltinnggg.... what a world... what a wooorld....." to be played during the process.

My only question now is, HOW MUCH? It's all just disposal to me--what's economical, and space-saving? I know it's illegal (I guess) just to get carted off with the Tuesday morning trash pickup, but--it seems so expedient...

Sounds like something you'ld spray on the lawn.
"Well Ma'am, its got lye and some...uh...mmm....fertilizer in it."

Yeah, I'm ok with it. Anything to keep'um from putting me in an open display box in the front of a church. Seriously, if they are gonna put me on display for everyone to stare at, put me in a recliner with a finger up my nose or something. Make crying really hard for the poor saps in the audience. Everytime they look up at me there would be some dead guy that someone has shoved his finger up his nose. How could you not laugh?

Exactly. You wanna talk nasty, THAT, to me, is nasty.

I read a book a while back by Mary Roach called "Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers" about the science of death. (It's not as dire as it sounds; it's actually pretty amusing in spots and very educational.) I seem to remember a chapter about a method to liquify a corpse and turn it into a kind of fertilizer. The idea is to use it for a tree planted in honor of a loved one. Interesting idea...

You've seen the difference and it's getting better all the time
There's nothing you and I won't do
I'll stop the world and melt with you
