14	imadisneygal Tue 5/13/2008 7:34p	^^^It was wonderful if I do say so myself. :) My choice of recessional songs was kindly but firmly vetoed by my mom, though. I really wanted "If You Want To Be Happy For The Rest Of Your Life, Never Make A Pretty Woman Your Wife." I love that song, and thought it would be funny and get the party started. We ended up using "We Go Together" from Grease, which followed the smashing of the glass and the loud "Mazel Tov!!!" It really was perfect. Back to the subject at hand... "You'll Be In My Heart" is one of my favorites, so I agree with the Witches on that one. I also really like "Baby Mine" and "Bare Necessities." Great lines from each of those songs to use!

17	dlgirler Wed 5/14/2008 5:49p	Christie, thanks for that song and writing the lyrics. It is a good one - it is the feeling I am trying to portray. Here are some other phrases/quotes (not yet mentioned) I have been considering. (Note: I know I wasn't exactly clear on this - b/c it doesn't really matter - but it was DLR where we had APs this past year): Julie Andrews intro to Dland "Remember" fireworks show: Once upon a time, there was a magic kingdom made of hopes and childhood fantasies. A timeless place where every land was filled with wonder. A place where everyone who entered its gates would be given the gift of the young at heart. The power to wish upon a star and unlock its magic. Are you ready to wish upon a star? Then its time to open your heart and remember Dreams come true. Or this quote from Walt (a little drier, but real): "To all that come to this happy place: welcome. Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past, and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams, and the hard facts that have created America... with hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world."
