Topic: DUI- Rep. Calls Mistress Not Mrs.(Hilarity Ensues)

I find a lot of stuff on Dr. Sputnik's Society pages on Rotten Dead Pool, and the blurb about this congressman getting busted with the actual title "Congressman Vito Fossella calls his mistress, not his wife after drunk driving arrest (hilarity ensues)" was too good not to steal and try to shoe horn into an LP thread title.

6	Dabob2 Sun 5/11/2008 4:05p	This is, I'm sorry to say, my Congressman. His district is mostly Staten Island, but includes the part of Brooklyn where I live. What's amazing is how strongly some of his Staten Island constituents still support him. They've been on the news every night interviewing them - first after the DUI, then after the "who's the woman who bailed him out" stories, then after he copped to having a love child. Though the local SI paper has called for him to resign, and most of the state Republican party is leaning on him to do so, he seems unlikely to at this point, and a ton (not all) of his constituents seemed inclined to back him. There's a reason why Staten Island is decidedly the fifth borough out of the five.
