>>"Who packs and extra memory card for a week"...guess whose camera needed one!! Then one day, batteries, then one day tweezers, then one day scissors...she finally admitted I was a smart packer!! :>)<<

Sharon, the words "Disney Pro" come to mind. My little belt pack contains 4 extra memory cards, an extra camera battery, 2 ponchos, an eye glass kit, trading pin locking backs (and non-locking ones too), candy, AP's, Disney Dollars, a nail file, a small Maglite flashlight, a notepad and pen and my LP button and Stitch nametag. I'm sure there are a couple of other things in there too.

Ooops, Shiva! I got a "belt pack" the other day and my DH (not knowing about my middle-aged anxiety about LOOKING like an old grandma) said: "Honey, are you sure you want to buy one of those? Don't you think it will make you look old?"

LOL! I just died and started laughing right there in the store and told him of our recent conversations here in this thread.

He's going to give me his official appraisal in July. You know how you do the "walk away" from your sweetheart? "Honey does this (insert object) make me look fat?" He'll do the honey-does-this-make-me-look-old thing and give me the ruling.

Oh, the vanity of women...(at least me).

STiL, Congrats on your belt pack purchase. of course Mickey would have been happy to sell you one too...at a slightly inflated price ; )

>>Don't you think it will make you look old?"<<

I know you and I are the same age but we both refuse to grow up. Trust me, no one will think twice about you wearing a small belt pack. I sometimes wonder how I managed before I got mine. You could even decorate yours with a few trading pins or Disney buttons and get a few smiles too.

Yep, I've been thinking how I'm gonna get it pimped out. :) You know, we're going to have to have a beltpack meet one of these days...maybe at the Int'l Meet. You and Tinkeroon will be there, correct?

I tried both this past weekend - the first day I took in a bag - not to big and it had a shoulder strap --- it was a pain. I then the next day took in my hip pack (prefer that to fanny pack although I have plenty of both)...
The hip pack was much easier - many rides I didn't even have to store it I just left it on.

In mine I carry -
Carmex Stick
Camera
Small Wallet
Small brush
Kids Disney Dollars
Flushable Wet Wipes (don't understand why disneyland uses such yucky tp!)
AP's (I have one of the retractable clip ap holders which I clip inside)

I always get a locker and I keep my extra batteries, glasses(for when sun goes down and sunglasses go in locker then), drinks, snacks.

My kids carry one of these types of bags

Usually with a small snack that we can replenish from the locker.

VERY nice, gottaluv. Thanks for the link, as well.

So I'm imagining your hip pack is the same thing that Shiva's calling a beltpack....

Great tips from everyone! Belt/hip pack, here I come!

When getting one make sure you have at least 2 pouches - one to keep your wallet and such in the other for non-essential items.
