Topic: Tumbleweeds Restaraunt. Worst. Service. Ever

1	DAR Mon 5/12/2008 9:24a	I'm not sure if there a national or regional chain. But let me tell about my little experience with this establishment. Saturday morning I'm working getting a little overtime when my sister calls telling me she's taking mom shopping for Mother's Day because my parents were going to a wedding that night. Sister asks if I want to go in on the gift with her. Then she asks if I want to meet the two of them for lunch. I agreed and said I'd meet them around 12:30, lunch time so it's going to be a little busy. Dad was running other errands so he was unable to come along. We get to Tumblweeds and they tell us about 20 minutes. Which is strange because there's a few empty tables but we don't say anything and just wait by the bar. There's one bartender there, two people sitting on the other end. And she's getting some drinks for the waitstaff. Well she doesn't come over until were called to our table. By then we decide that if we're going to have anything to drink we'll order it with our lunch. So the waitress comes over gives us a few minutes to decide what we want. We place our orders in. Nothing too complicated, a chicken sandwich for me. Mom and sis are going to split an order of nachos. Pretty easy to do you'd say. And something that will probably arrive in ten to fifteen minutes. Half hour goes by we don't get our food. And the waitress hasn't come back to tell us what the hold up is. Finally 45 minutes the waitress comes by and tells us there was a table of fifteen. I looked at her and said, what if it was three tables of five? That's really not a good excuse. She said something thatmay have resembled an apology. The manager comes over and tells us that the meal is going to be for free. So we decide to stay because we're very close to walking out, but we had some time. Twenty minutes later the food comes. And we look at what we have have, my chicken sandwich is char burnt not char broiled. And mom and sister have nice long hair in cheese sauce and sour cream. At that point we sort of just laughed, decided to cut our losses and left. As we're leaving the waitress tell us to come back again. I said that that probably won't happen anytime soon.
2	Rsey103 Mon 5/12/2008 10:29a	I've not heard of this restaurant or chain. Have you had good experiences there before? You know what's fun to do? Put your comments in a letter and send it to their corporate office and forward a copy to your health department...
3	DAR Mon 5/12/2008 11:46a	We were there once or twice before. Same location too. I wasn't sure if they're national or not.
4	Mary Poppins Tue 5/13/2008 11:30a	That was a bad experience. A 65 minute wait for a chicken sandwich and nacho's? Were they raising the chicken? I might write a letter to the manager detailing the day and time of this poor service. I've never heard of this restaurant.
