It's officially crossed the line into "cloying" for me. I'm starting to question whether I want to spend 2 hours in the uninterrupted company of such an aggressively cute little twerp. And he's been in a junkyard on Earth for hundreds of years and doesn't know how a magnet or a vacuum cleaner works?
Actually, this is all probably a good thing. Every PIXAR movie I've had serious doubts about has turned out to be fabulous. |

After 700 years of cleaning up the Earth, Wall-E should have come across and experienced most everything there was. The trailers and vignettes give the impression that he is totally inexperienced with the simplest human implements (magnet, hula hoop, earphones, bra, fire extinguisher, vacuum, etc).
The film will most likely be quite entertaining, but it's those sorts of continuity errors that I sometimes find distracting. In spite of that though, I can generally overlook them if the rest of the content is enjoyable.

As for "Prince Caspian", well, after 2 weeks it's made about 91 million just here in the U.S., so I think it's doing decently. It will definitely be a moneymaker. |

It dropped nearly 60% this week which is horrible, and don't blame Indy, Iron Man dropped less than 40% |

That's just great. Here we go again. What is it with DCA? Do they have a death wish over DCA that anytime it gets something totally new and unique, the Florida parks has to rip it off? Soarin'. Toy Story Mania. Now Little Mermaid. It makes me sick. In fact, the same thing happened with Disneyland. Alient Encounter was originally a Disneyland exclusive attraction that Florida stole and Disneyland never even got. Not that AE is the best attraction to be fuming over, but still... you get my point.
Now just watch... Florida's is going to open sooner. It's going to be bigger. The queue line is going to be better, and more interesting. And DCA's version is going to seem like a mere clone afterthought after the WDW "original" version is open for a few years before DCA's is built. Mark my words...
DCA (the entire Anaheim resort, actually), is still the neglected hand-me-down stepchild in the Disney themepark family.
And with the economy turning as bad as it's going, I wouldn't be surprised if the plug is pulled on many of the announced DCA improvements. We might not ever even get the Little Mermaid attraction. Just like what happened with Alien Encounter, and all the rest of the Tomorrowland 2055 development that Disneyland was supposed to get. |

| davewasbaloo Tue 5/27/2008 12:42a | Well as I am one that is fed up of tooning, at least it makes sense in the Mk Fantasyland (unlike DCA). But yep, disappointed am I, it would be good to have more originals in DCA. Currently the only significant originals in DCA are Monsters Inc and Screamin'
But I would still rather go to DCA than the MK, and I cannot wait for Carsland! |

It might not happen davewasbaloo, I heard a rumor that it was going to go to WDW instead ;o) |
