while watching the last Aladdin show of the day on Friday I noticed a a woman in an electric wheelchair as part of the ensemble MAJOR KUDOS to Disney for giving her a spot in the show!

AFAIK, she has been a part of the cast since the beginning, or at least for a very long time. I've seen her a few times, and the last time I was at DCA was more than two years ago.

I haven't been to DCA since Dec. 2002 and she was part of the show then. I found it to "break the moment". Only in a good way. It totally took me out of buying into the reality of Aladdin long enough to feel good about people for a moment. Then back to the show.

I'm pretty sure she's been there since day one. I remember her from the earliest shows.

Doobie.

She has been there for as long as I can remember, too.

What dshyates said! Right on to both the director and the actress. And as Martha would say: It's a good thing. :)

Yeah, that actress in the wheelchair has been there since the show started. It was the source of minor commentary on message boards when that show began, but has since fallen off the radar.

I missed her when I saw the show in April. It just wasn't the same without her!

Yeah I've seen her. I almost thought it was a joke. Kudos to her for being alternately abled but when I'm in a theme park watching a fantasy theater show I don't really need someone to remind me that I'm watching a theater show. It takes me out of the fantasy and I resent it.
