>>There isn't a single person who has seen this person on stage during the show who hasn't had to take a second to decide if it's a good thing or not.>>

Yes there is...Me. Please don't group me with your judgmental ways.

I've seen her a couple times over past years and have had NO such thought. It's a wheelchair..big deal.

I'm really not trying to be judgemental, nor am I trying to start a fight. But consider this, Stacers - you noticed her. Did you notice anyone else in the chorus? Did any non-leading character in the performance stand out? The fact that you did notice her is the point I'm trying to make. I would probably make the same point for a little person or an albino or anyone else who attracts the eye in a situation where blending in is part of the job description.

I always found the cheesy stage effects to be more of a distraction than the wheelchair.

I swear I typed a whole post and guess forgot to hit the button...oye...anyway..

I do agree that I noticed, but I didn't sit and ponder it either...it's the end of that comment of people noticing and deciding whether it's a "good thing or not"...

Maybe it was just weird wording, but I don't think whether it's good or not is up to us nor should it be.

If you went to a real place in the Middle East, say Beirut or Cairo, would you ever see a person in a wheelchair?

That's not a bad point there, Stacers. Food for thought.
