<<< Did notice something I hadn't seen before, an effect showing bodies hanging in the attic in the painting scene before you enter the vehicles. >>>

<<< As for the hanging body, you never noticed that before? Guess you weren't looking up. :p >>>

Are we talking about the stretching / expanding room, or the hallway between that and the load area? The hanging body has always been in the attic in the stretching room, and it's perhaps the primary gag - how could you not notice that?

While we're on that subject, one thing I've noticed is that the stretching rooms at the other Mansions go completely dark momentarily, then the light in the attic turns on and you see the body. But in Tokyo, the candles being held by the gargoyles never completely go out, and this kind of destroys the effect of the hanging body in the attic, as you can clearly see how it's done.

^^^ We're talking about the stretching room, and I have no idea how I could miss it. I would estimate that I have ridden HM/PM from either TDL, MK or DLP 6-7 times. Pretty weird that it would take me that long to look up.

They expect you to look up instinctively because the room around you is plunged into darkness and there is now a light above you.

This is how Disney often directs attention during rides--by controlling light and dark.

I feel so stupid now. Lets say I just forgot it, okay? ;)

There are hanging bodies there too? THAT I hadn't noticed. :p

That plus most people are looking upwards at the stretching paintings anyway, right?

SMCD, lol your last comment.

I noticed it too recently SD. I don't recall it being like that before. I suspect it is another example of OLC trying to keep everything "safe". Didn't work for me and was totally unnecessary. It definitely wasn't like that for Haunted Mansion Holiday Nightmare.

Why would they care about that?

It's not as though they need to fear big lawsuits like the American parks do!!??

Ok, now I'm puzzled.

How on earth did you manage to do: Pirtes, Treehouse, Country Bear show, Splash, Pooh(2 hrs+), Jubilation parade, Jungle Cruise, Queen of Hearts dining, Roger Rabbit, Dreamlights parade, Mansion on an extremely busy day????

I tink X tapped into this recently, but crowded in Tokyo Disneyland means complete and total madness, lines extending outside of their respective lands. I've seen it too......on one specific day I could not believe my eyes.

So if half of Tokyo showed up how did you pull that off? I suppose you worked a FP or two and had no "down time" right?

Well, I have limited experience, so maybe it wasn't as busy as I thought. It was the busiest I have experienced in a Disney park, though, that's for sure. As I said in the report, World Bazaar was packed, and all the snack stands had long queues. But the ride queues certainly weren't as bad as you describe. Anyway, here's how we did it; came to the park around 9 am, took a Fast Pass to Splash Mountain before standing in line for Pirates (1-2 hours), Tree house (no queue), Country Bears (no queue), Splash (pretty fast with the pass), stood in line for Pooh (2 hours), saw Jubilation, stood in line For Jungle Cruise (50 min. or something), took fast pass to Haunted Mansion, dined at Queen of Hearts (20 min. queue I think), Roger Rabbit (around 45 min.), saw Dreamlights, Haunted Mansion (got right in with the pass), left around 9 pm.

Yikes. Definitely sounds like down time was at a minimum.

You managed to do quite a bit though anyway, nice job!

The two things I'd have done differently (just out of general experience, if it were my first time I'd probably have done it exactly the same way SMCD did!) would be to save Pirates for later. It's too bad you waited so long there, as in the evening there is almost no line (Jungle Cruise too if you wait til after dinner, BUT it's not as nice at night I think). And also I'd always get that Pooh fastpass...but anyway you did great!

I recently had a crowded day experience where, looking back, we did a ton of stuff. Most if it was fastpasses in the daytime and patience with everything else (we hit Pirates, Cruise, Mansion, Dumbo, Peter Pan, and Teacups all near the end of the night...all but Pan were virtual walkons).
